David Fowler - the newspaper ads guy. After consulting with newspapers, media companies, ad agencies, and businesses all over the globe, ‘the newspaper ads guy’ is the pseudonym that stuck.
I am the author of the best selling book, “Newspaper Ads That Make Sales Jump!.” It was released in 1998, translated in three languages, and is still considered “The Bible” of newspaper ads at most newspapers in the English speaking world.
Of course, a LOT has changed in newspaper ads and marketing in the decade or so following the original book. I have finished two new books, “Ultimate Moneymaking Newspaper Ads” and “Ultimate Moneymaking Web Ads” (which can both be purchased on this site) in response to the changes.
Aside from the books, I do workshops, consulting, and create customer templates for newspapers and businesses alike. My clients include Benjamin Moore Paints, TOBU (Japan’s largest department store), The John Deer Company as well as numerous small to medium size businesses in the U.S., Canada and the UK. My media clients include The New York Times, The San Jose Mercury News, The Seattle Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The San Diego Union Tribune, and hundred more.
